Research
Rock Testing
Uniaxial, triaxial and indirect tensile tests on the GCTS RTX-1000, with acoustic emission tracking how micro-cracks initiate and grow inside the specimen.
Point Cloud Analysis
Photogrammetry and LiDAR build a three-dimensional point cloud of an outcrop; algorithms then extract joint orientation, roughness and fracture traces automatically.
Model Development
Turning laboratory and field observation into contact models the discrete element method can compute — the particulate interface, seepage and biconcave bond models.
Numerical Simulation
Applying those models to real cases: reproducing rockfall, debris flow and large-scale slope failure, and estimating run-out to support decision making.
